The Innovation Project Manager/Director is a unique opportunity for an individual passionate about driving change in health care. The role is focused on advancing the execution of innovation at Froedtert Health/Inception Health through a deep relationship with AVIA. This role will focus on maximizing the joint efforts of both organizations, measured by the implementation of digital solutions at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin (F&MCW), a premier academic medical center in Milwaukee, WI. The individual will be deeply embedded in the two organizations, managing shared projects and building important relationships across both entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication Bridge: Establishes a deep knowledge of strategic initiatives of Inception Health/F&MCW as well as AVIA and its members (where possible). Serves to connect AVIA or member solutions to problems identified by Inception Health/F&MCW with a focus on action and implementation.
  •  Project Management: Manage and track aspects of collaborative AVIA-Inception Health-F&MCW projects in an effort to ensure the successful execution of each initiative. This may be accomplished through direct project ownership and management and/or close collaboration with Inception Health project management resources. This role requires leadership through influence that greatly exceeds technical project management.
  •  Change Agent: Identify opportunities to educate and influence leaders on innovative initiatives, working to build energy and enthusiasm for organizational transformation.
  •  Relationship Building: Build trusted, enduring relationships with leaders across F&MCW as well as AVIA. In doing so, develop a deep understanding of both organizations. 
Specific Responsibilities
  • Proactively facilitate all aspects of the AVIA-Inception Health relationship at F&MCW so that each initiative moves forward smoothly.
  • Work closely with the AVIA market strategies team to understand the future product landscape and serve as an advocate for Inception Health in this process.
  • Work closely with the AVIA provider solutions team on each cohort topic where F&MCW/Inception Health chooses to participate. (1) Serve as primary Inception Health liaison, (2) Work with Inception leadership to recruit the appropriate health system leaders to participate, (3) Ensure active participation (4) Partner with AVIA to drive timely decision making for select solutions and (5) Provide project management for some solutions that are selected for implementation and serve in that role as solutions scale across F&MCW
  • Work closely with the AVIA provider solutions team on cohort topics where F&MCW/Inception Health chooses not to participate. (1) Develop an understanding of the current solution landscape, (2) Determine if there are future opportunities for implementation or investment and (3) Share cohort learnings with appropriate members of the F&MCW/Inception Health team
  • Serve as a primary project manager for the implementation team for AVIA related digital health projects that move forward, developing a means to track progress and evaluate success
  • Engage in select Inception Health initiatives outside of the AVIA relationship as needed, bringing perspective on these initiatives back to AVIA where appropriate.
  • Build relationships or establish connections with other AVIA provider members and strategic partners to further Inception Health/F&MCW initiatives
  • Leverage the AVIA network to identify a pipeline of compelling digital health solutions for Inception Health/ F&MCW
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the health care industry
  • Advanced degree in business or health care
  • 2+ years of experience working for a health system or health care provider
  • Experience in health care information technology
  • Excellent communication skills: oral, written, and presentation
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and productively multi-task
  • Comfort working across two young, dynamic organizations and a large traditional matrix organization
  • Proven ability to thrive in environments where new initiatives may be coupled with limited data and information
  • Flexibility to travel frequently between Chicago and Milwaukee
  • Passion for driving change in health care
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite
