POSITION SUMMARY:

We are building a team of high-impact Inside Sales Account Executives to accelerate new business development. We are a rapidly growing start-up business that is out to revolutionize the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry. You will be part of a growing sales organization and own a large portfolio of small to mid-size CPG manufacturers.

The Account Executive is responsible for successfully closing new clients each month by explaining the ItemMaster value proposition to prospects and gaining commitment to buy, primarily over the phone. Your target clients consist of small and medium sized manufacturers with product portfolios of 250 products or less. You will prioritize your own book of work, identify and qualify your leads, and work toward rapid contract closure. The successful candidate is a true hunter, largely working independently, but directly supported by the Vice President of Sales for Mid-Tier Accounts. The role requires a disciplined, energetic person motivated to make the numbers and excited about selling our platform into some of the most recognizable consumer brands in the world.

In addition to base salary, you will be eligible for monthly commissions based on the annual contract value of the deals you close. There is no cap on  your earning potential. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate leads and prospects within assigned manufacturer portfolio
  • Proactively reach out to identify interest and gather requirements for new business development
  • Be an effective champion for ItemMaster’s brand platform and differentiate our services from those of our competitors
  • Identify key players/decisions makers and negotiate sales contracts of values up to $$33,750 per contract
  • Upsell existing customers to maximize annual contract value
  • Schedule meetings, deliver presentations and demos with customers and follow-up in a disciplined way
  • Use Salesforce CRM tool on a day basis (training provided) to manage customer account information, ensuring accurate status of relationship and strength of the business development opportunity.
  • Help the sales organization reach their goals by contributing new ideas and sharing knowledge across the team
  • Strong objection handling skills. Ability to pivot conversations to close deals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years sales experience, in particular inside sales, with track record of high performance in a quota-carrying role
  • Must have knowledge and experience with selling software or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products
  • Highly organized self-starter experienced with quota-driven sales and thrives in a high metrics environment
  • Good sales hygiene and understanding of solution-oriented selling
  • Highly motivated and aggressive - able to prioritize in a high-demand environment
  • Ability to close customers within a short sales cycle
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and writing skills are required
  • Very comfortable conducting business over the phone
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
