Inside Sales Manager
THE POSITION:
The Inside Sales Manager will manage a team of cold callers who generate qualified leads for our Account Executives, and also a team of reps who handle all inbound leads. They are in charge of motivating, retaining, leading, and when necessary, recruiting a team of inside sales representatives. The manager will assist in setting and hitting targets for our inside sales representatives, and will report directly to our Vice President of Sales.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set reasonable, but aggressive lead generation targets for the inside sales representatives and manage the team to achieve those targets
- Track and report on performance metrics for direct reports
- Recruit and retain talented representatives to achieve targets, when necessary
- Continuously train and develop sales representatives to achieve both company and personal goals
- Keep an eye on changing market conditions and help to influence our sales strategy to adjust to those conditions when necessary
- Negotiate internally on behalf of sales representatives to ensure that they have the resources necessary to succeed in their roles
REQUIREMENTS:
- A passion for management and helping salespeople to succeed
- 3+ years of sales management experience with numbers supporting success in that role
- Personal experience cold calling and closing business
- Extraordinary emotional intelligence
- A data-driven approach to assessing performance
