Overview of Inside Sales Specialist Position:

As an Inside Sales Specialist at SMS Assist you would be working on our sales team to generate leads, call on warm leads and increase our client base. You will consult with homeowners about their repair and maintenance needs, manage calls and requests for services, accurately enter all information into our database, and close leads over the phone. Since Inside Sales Specialists work on our sales team you can expect a collaborative environment with rapid growth.

Our ideal candidate would have a strong background in sales – inside sales, B2B or lead generation preferred. However, this role is also perfect for entry level recent grads with a passion for selling. Key things we are looking for in an Inside Sales Specialist: a passion for results, the desire to learn and someone who is ridiculously outgoing… if you make friends in line at the grocery store this is the perfect role for you!

Other similar titles include: inside sales, sales development representative, lead generation, account executive and more.

What you will do as an Inside Sales Specialist:

  • Generate opportunities responding to warm leads as well as calling on new potential clients.
  • Consult with homeowners on their needs for home repair work, including handyman, plumbing, and HVAC. 
  • Actively listen to the customer’s needs and recommend the best likely solution for the customer.
  • Lead multiple customer sales cycles and close effectively.
  • Consistently build and deliver a pipeline. Keep detailed notes within our systems.
  • Meet all KPI’s and quotas as set by the sales team for Sales Representatives, Account Executives and Sales Representatives.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers across the nation.
  • Coordinate and schedule services with contractors/affiliates through SMS’s proprietary system.

Qualifications for an Inside Sales Specialist role:

  • Sales background – preferred previous titles include: lead generation, Account Executive, Sales Representative, Inside Sales, Sales Executive, Sales Development Representative.
  • Solid verbal communication/negotiation skills
  • Showcases our values: Entrepreneurial spirit, passion for service, integrity and teamwork
  • Technical aptitude- ability to learn and utilize proprietary technology platform for scheduling, metrics, entering comments, etc. 
  • All Sales Representative’s must have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience- typically 2+ years)
