The ParkWhiz mobile app is the centerpiece of our retail strategy — thousands of people rely on the app daily to find and book convenient, economical parking.

We’re looking to add a second iOS developer to our mobile team as we expand, improve, and modernize our iOS app. A successful candidate will take initiative, not require micromanagement, and will be willing to engage in continuous learning.
Essential Skills:
  • BS or above in Computer Science
  • Strong skills in an object-oriented language
  • Strong understanding of and ability to utilize object-oriented design patterns
  • Understands how to unit test; can write code using TDD/BDD techniques
  • Can write safe concurrent code
  • Experience with consuming or providing API resources over the Web
  • Previous iOS development experience is helpful but not a prerequisite, and is not a substitute for any of the skills above. We are seeking a great software developer coming from any background above a mediocre one with iOS platform experience.
Your Typical Day:
  • Interact with the product team to determine priorities as well as set expectations
  • Monitor live issues through HockeyApp and other tools; prioritize and fix crashes and bugs as they are found and reported through various channels
  • Take on projects for new sections of the application that we are looking to expand or include
  • Discuss architecture for new features and come to an agreement with the team before implementation
  • Participate in the code review process; give and accept constructive feedback
  • Prepare releases for the App Store and work with QA to coordinate pre-release testing
  • Take on small R&D projects to evaluate new iOS features and third-party services
