As Aeris continues to expand, we are growing our Network Infrastructure team and that's where you come in! As a IPNetwork Architect, you will provide expert technical leadership on IP and mobile IP data transport, network design, solution deployment and integration for the hybrid cloud infrastructure. The IP Network Architect designs and operates core routing and switching environments, mobile IP session management and data transport from remote devices to host applications.  In addition to the customer-facing production environment, the role also supports corporate LAN/WAN environments for internal use.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • You will design, develop and implement our hybrid cloud infrastructure
  • You will configure, deploy and manage firewalls, switches, routers, VPN appliances, load balancers and network management tools in a multi-vendor environment
  • Perform complex engineering, implementation, maintenance, and hardware/software upgrade of routing, security infrastructure, and switching
  • You will handle complex internal analysis and support of the network and security infrastructure and anticipate networking and security needs for planning and budgeting
  • You will lead all auditing and documentation of the environment on a regular basis, including analyzing and delivering network performance metrics as needed
  • As our technical lead, you will perform multi-functional training to other engineering disciplines
  • You will establish, maintain and monitor enterprise customer connectivity to Aeris platforms and provide advanced client support as required within a 24/7 environment
What we look for in you:
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years’ of professional experience in a Network Engineering capacity
  • You have direct experience working on multi-site and/or data center connectivity for HA/DR applications
  • You possess a solid understanding of standard networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, PXE, SMTP, NTP)
  • You have hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, UCS servers and security appliances and have built high-level expertise in IP routing and switching fundamentals
  • You are experienced with and enjoy implementing, operating, and fixing VLAN, STP and other layer 2 technologies, as well as, BGP, OSPF routing protocols, MPLS VPN and firewall policy
  • You have strong firsthand experience working with public cloud infrastructure and with virtual networking and private cloud technologies
  • You are well-versed with using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Bash
  • You have previous experience using platform and application monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Big Brother and Zabbix
  • You are a self-starter, assertive, well organized, and have precise attention to detail as well as excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills
  • You enjoy problem-solving, applying critical thinking and calmness to find solutions in high-pressure situations
  • You enjoy working in a collaborative environment - leading/working with our global team
Things that will set you apart:
  • You have experience or knowledge of CDMA, UMTS, GSM or LTE architectures and call flows
  • You have your network certification such as CCNP/CCIE
  • You previously worked with Container technologies such as Docker, AWS and Virtualization Certifications
  • You are knowledgeable of Core or RAN protocols and technologies
