 Coordinator, IT Business Intelligence Analyst

 

Information Technology | Chicago, IL

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust and dynamic data pipelines;
  • Develop optimal solutions to business information needs utilizing deep understanding of business processes coupled with strong expertise in informational and reporting structures, including predictive analytics;
  • Create data warehouses from the ground up, using best practices to gather requirements, model data, and implement a system that is highly performant and near-real-time;
  • Create advanced queries and reports, utilizing complex variable creation, multiple queries and other advanced techniques;
  • Develop interactive reports using SSRS, MySQL, T-SQL;
  • Adapt to change, and maximize value for clients using agile techniques;
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently with a strong focus on achieving tasks;
  • Analyze data and investigate models and parameters;
  • Deploy advanced machine learning algorithms for the purpose of clustering, classification, prediction. 

 

Experience

  • Experience in developing Business Intelligence solutions (ETL, cubes, reports, dashboards, scorecards) using Microsoft SQL Server tools such as SSRS or MySQL Workbench in a data warehousing environment.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSRS in 2008 R2 and 2012.
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Warehousing and BI best practices
  • Expertise building SSAS cubes and programming complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Must have high energy level; be self-motivated, with a results oriented demeanor.
  • Good Communication skills and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
  • Experience in an Agile environment.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or with equivalent professional experience.
