We are currently seeking an Integration Engineer to work in our Product Development group and facilitate the successful design, development, testing and maintenance of custom integration software for specific Fieldglass customers, suppliers and partners. This position is an on-site position and can be located out of our Naperville office.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate the common understanding of integration software requirements between those requesting the functionality and the developers coding it.
  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate meetings between technical and non-technical teams to ensure mutual understanding of integration project scope and requirements.
  • Execute job responsibilities per established company policies, processes, procedures or as directed by manager and project manager.
  • Review, analyze, validate, and provide feedback on integration software requirements to non-technical and technical stakeholders.
  • Derive test cases from finalized integration requirements.
  • Complete initial testing of custom and standard integrations utilizing predetermined test cases.
  • Troubleshoot very large and complex SQL queries and their results against expected results.
  • Pull from a wide breadth of technical, experiential, and business knowledge in order to solve complex data exchange problems.
  • Serve as a liaison between Development, QA, DBA, and Professional Services teams.
  • Become an expert in all facets of the Fieldglass’ proprietary services procurement application
  • Work in an around-the-clock development and testing cycle.
  • Develop documentation when required
  • Demonstrate an ability to be productive with minimal supervision, have a focus on service and the foresight to understand future impacts current changes may have on the Fieldglass application and/or clients’ business processes

 

We’re Looking For:

 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer or Information Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related course of study.
  • 2+ yrs. relevant work experience demonstrating a high level of knowledge of data integration between large cloud based commercial applications, SQL, relational databases, procurement systems, general business knowledge, requirements gathering, and software testing. 
  • Experience in very complex data extraction using SQL queries, real time integration, web services, FTP / SFTP, ad hoc report development are required. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and the ability to work closely with business and technical teams of all skill levels are also required.
  • Proven ability to react to customer needs and requests through issue tracking, setting clear priorities, quickly adjusting to client driven changes, firmly committing to deadlines, and have an ability to apply problem-solving techniques to application, environment, and data issues.
  • An individual who is Results-oriented, self-motivated and organized with the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously would be a good fit. Solid work ethic and dedication to producing high quality accurate work is necessary.
