Guaranteed Rate is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to assist the Head of Sales. Applicants will have a strong analytical background, an excellent knowledge of MS Excel, and the ability to translate data into digestible information. Some experience is preferred, but extraordinary entry-level candidates will be considered.

Business Analyst Primary Functions

• Proactively identify areas for improvement of internal business processes along with viable solutions
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather and interpret data, summarize and prepare presentations
• Ability to demonstrate a full knowledge of business processes including: production, sales, and operations
• Develop automated reporting and perform data analysis

Required Knowledge and Skills

• A four-year college degree
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and attention to detail
• Highly motivated self-starter demonstrating integrity, initiative and innovation qualities
• Desire to learn
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a very fast paced environment
• Strong analytical skills

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

• Database and reporting experience
• SQL experience
• Thorough understanding of the residential mortgage industry
• Loan pipeline experience
• Loan origination system experience
• Ellie Mae Encompass & Velocify experience
