Responsibilities

Leapfrog Online is seeking candidates with 1 to 2 years general project management in a software development environment. The ideal candidate will have Scrum experience, but we are willing to train the right candidate if necessary. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead a sprint team in an Agile software development environment, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques, working with Scrum or kanban frameworks.
  • Work with a cross-functional team including business teams, Product Managers, and engineers.
  • Organize and facilitate, daily stand, estimation, retrospectives, sprint planning, demos and other meetings.
  • Use retrospectives, communication with team, and velocity to identify trends in order to promote continuous improvement.
  • Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition, and past sprint performance.
  • Work with Product Owners/Managers to understand the vision, objectives, and intended ROI behind the enhancements, initiatives, and platforms being proposed for development.
  • Focus on team health and remove obstacles to provide a positive work environment for team members.
  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Identify and remove impediments that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint commitments.
  • Ensure the team strives to make each increment of functionality potentially shippable.

Who you are:

  • Familar with Scrum and kanban, or another Agile development methodology.
  • Understanding of Scrum and Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate cross-functionally.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in information technology or online marketing, participating in software development, business process analysis, requirements gathering or project management.
  • A college degree, preferably in Business Administration, Information Management, Marketing or Computer Science.
  • Web-site or e-commerce application development experience is a huge plus.
  • Being a Certified Scrum Master is a plus.
  • Eagerness to work within a dynamic, client-focused, service-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to facilitate discussion and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in time-critical situations.
