GrubHub Holdings Inc. is looking for a wicked awesome lead front-end engineer with a expert understanding of UI design. You’ll be part of a team focused on the continual improvement and optimization of our consumer-facing products. Using a scientific and measured approach to development, you will be iterating changes at a quick pace that will have a very real impact to the business. In addition to writing front-end code, you must be able to work with others to take a design concept-whether a UI idea sketched on a napkin or a finished mock-up and bring it to life on our products. We’re looking for somebody who is a confident problem solver and who proactively challenges traditional solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the design of, and implementation of UI changes across our product base.
• Develop detailed technical analysis and design specifications based on functional requirements.
• Collaborate heavily with fellow developers, designers and analysts to solve problems.
• Develop complete front-end stack of projects using HTML/CSS/SASS, AJAX and Javascript with Angular.js.
• Help write new design patterns, improve and adapt existing design component integration.
• Integrate front-end UI with backend services.
• Set and follow coding standards.
• Debug cross-browser compatibility issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

• • 7-10+ years of experience developing dynamic, highly interactive user interfaces for the web.
• Motivate and advise technical solutions across multiple cross functional teams 
• Bachelors degree in Technology, Computer Science or Math is preferred but equivalent work experience works just as well.
•  Must be fluent in front-end technologies including, but not limited to, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, SASS, XML, and familiar with one or more JavaScript libraries (jQuery, Prototype...).
• 1+ year using Angular.js.
• Good understanding of web technologies.
• Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance.
• Experience with server-side template engines a plus (JSP, ERB, …).
• Should have good programming habits and be comfortable with Java.
