Lead Test Engineer
Rise Interactive (http://www.riseinteractive.com), a rapidly growing full service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire a Lead Test Engineer, into the Innovation team. We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated individual contributor that is excited about joining a new Innovation department and contributing professionally to an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.
SUMMARY AND SCOPE
At Rise Innovation, we build great products. To build a great product, it requires test engineers to break it so we can rebuild it better. That thinking is at the core of how we approach testing at Rise. Unlike roles with similar names at the other companies, Test Engineers at Rise aren't manual testers -- you write scripts to automate testing and create tools so developers can test their own code. As a Test Engineer, you navigate Rise's codebase, identify weak spots and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems. You'll have a huge impact on the quality of Rise's growing suite of products.
Responsible for design and execution of automated tests in a fast-paced agile environment.
Implement test automation infrastructure that will be utilized across multiple test and development teams.
Be the voice of quality in highly collaborative agile product teams.
Make sure that each build is tested and each deployment to production is of highest quality
Develop test strategies.
Automate tests using test frameworks.
Write complex code/scripts to test systems.
Take responsibility for monitoring product development and usage at all levels with an eye toward improving product quality.
Create test harnesses and infrastructure as necessary.
Lead and mentor the QA team members
Knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design
Promote proper engineering practice, bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, privacy, and other advanced quality concepts across products.
BA/BS degree in computer science.
7+ years of relevant experience
4+ years of experience developing test automation in C#.Net.
3+ years of experience working with large amounts of real data
Experienced leading and mentoring 2-3 test engineers
Very strong SQL skills
Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging.
Deep knowledge of internet technologies.
Deep knowledge in data validation in BI architecture
Understanding of Agile SDLC
Passion for Testing and Software Development
- Solid coding skills and experience in one or more Object Oriented programming languages: C++, Java, C#
PREFERRED
MA/MS in Computer Science.
Digital Marketing industry experience.
- Experienced in using Rally Agile Testing module to write and execute test cases and track defects.
