What might you find yourself doing here?
- Know your users, know your product, and know your metrics so you can use this insight to inform your design of intuitive web, mobile, and product experiences.
- Depending on the situation, dynamically determine the most efficient methods to communicate your vision to the Product and Engineering team.
- Gracefully move between creating process flows, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, mockups, rich designs, and crude hieroglyphs to get the best user experience to market quickly.
- Collaborate with the Product Management and Engineering team to ensure all products are implemented to design specifications.
- Balance pushing performance metrics with delighting customers.
- Glean insights about our users and our product by creating and conducting user studies - usability tests, focus groups, surveys, and direct interviews.
- Formulate and test hypotheses based on user research and behavioral analytics.
- Establish best practices for UI/UX at SpotHero.
- Align with brand guidelines across all channels.
Here are the skills we're looking for:
- Comfortable working within a collaborative, agile development team with a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business needs, and customer expectations.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience creating great user-centric visual design.
- Ability to define patterns and advocate for consistency, without repressing inspiration or inhibiting innovation.
- Extensive interactive design background with experience creating wireframes, site flows, prototypes, mockups, etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of the current state of web and mobile app technologies, standard, constraints, and best practices.
- 4+ years experience with web design (mobile and desktop) and native mobile app design (Android and iOS).
- Experience designing, conducting, and analyzing usability tests and user interviews.
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite or other technology and software for design, collaboration, wireframing, prototyping, etc.
