Lead UI/UX Designer
Rise Interactive (http://www.riseinteractive.com), a rapidly growing full service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire a Lead Interaction Designer to report to the Vice President of Innovation. We are seeking a detail-oriented, creative and highly motivated individual contributor that is excited about being a founding leader of a new Innovation department and contributing professionally to an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.

You likely have a varied and interesting background, but your experiences should include:
Excellent ability to humanize complicated ideas through design
Building products / applications focused on a variety of data visualization and data management interactions
Crafting solutions which are beautiful without sacrificing strategy
Passionate about the details

Being a self starter who can work under pressure and deliver results
Collaborating with passionate people, without compromising quality
- Defining and advocating a design-centric culture throughout the organization
Take ownership of the end-to-end product user experience, including interaction design, information architecture, and interface design for Rise’s Analytics Products and Platforms
Foster a user-centered design first culture to new product development
Invent new ways for non-technical end-user to perform high-context tasks that facilitate data discovery, visualization and analysis
Develop and implement a rigorous, data-driven methodology for UX instrumentation and optimization
Create team deliverables (including design rules, user flows, user stories, annotated wireframes, visual design, animations, clickable prototypes) that enables software developers to build software that fosters a delightful user experience
Collaborate with product managers, scrum masters, project managers, engineers, and designers throughout the product lifecycle
Contribute strategically and tactically to evolving market-driven, user-centric products and product marketing efforts to ensure our employees, partners and customers remain aware of the value proposition
Lead user experience research and usability studies
- Stay abreast of new and innovative trends in the information architecture discipline
Several years of experience in a senior UX / Interaction design position
Well steeped in market-driven, product management principles
Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Passion for continuous learning in usability principles and techniques
Skilled at rapid prototyping in Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, napkins and whiteboards
Strong collaborator with proven ability to effectively rally and inspire both creative professionals and front-end engineers equally
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
A strong portfolio of shipping successful software products with distinctive user experiences
Experience with responsive design across multiple device types and contexts (desktop, mobile, accessories)
Major bonus points for knowing front-end development technologies and solid understanding of optimal ways of developing and testing HTML, CSS and JavaScript (Bootstrap, jQuery, D3, CrossFilter, Angular, etc.)
