As a Learning & Development Specialist, you will be responsible for strengthening the Learning and Development team by creating and delivering training solutions to enhance the development journeys of all kCura employees. The Learning & Development Specialist works under moderate direction of managers and senior team members.

 

Responsibilities

• Partner in assessing, designing, prototyping, and evaluating learning and development programs that drive organizational strategy and culture. Collaborates with members of Learning and Development team, TE Team, and stakeholders/subject matter experts to assess needs and identify learning and organizational development solutions that integrate and align with business needs. 
• Identify, propose, develop, and project manage training/learning solutions for the employee workforce, including assessment of need(s), consulting to determine best solution, supporting internal delivery of solution and/or identifying and proposing external providers when needed, and solution evaluation. This will include proposing program design and content development where applicable and/or individual learning solutions.
• Responsible for learning management system administration, including auditing and correcting learning management system content.
• Manage training calendar, training solutions menu, registration, and coordinate training and onboarding classes for all locations whether in-house, external, or online. 
• Organize training sessions for new and existing employees. This includes assembling participant rosters, updating attendance/course, ensuring course reminders are sent out, collecting pre-work (as necessary), and communicating with participants to clarify course parameters and following up with internal stakeholders on creating, aggregating, and analyzing data associated with post training evaluation.
• Oversee logistical prep for onsite trainings including ensuring adequate supplies of training materials and learning aids, room setup up, and coordination with admin team for catering.
• Conduct vendor management as needed related to training design and delivery. 
• Manage Learning and Development ticketing queue.
• Format, copy and coordinate PowerPoint presentations and supporting materials that are used in training programs.
• Participate in HR or department-specific project teams to design and develop internal training content and materials and to support change management. Lead specified teams as needed.
• Document, organize, and continuously improve Learning and Development processes and procedures. 
• Assist with other Learning and Development programs and projects as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Liberal Arts or related discipline, or at least one year experience in Learning and Development/Training, Human Resources, or Education
• At least two years’ experience in content development (curriculum design, e-learning, multimedia, instructional design) and training facilitation or equivalent transferrable experience
• At least one year experience demonstrating project management (from planning through delivery)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven track record of managing a project from needs analysis through implementation
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment, as well as strong prioritization and organizational skills, flexible to changing demands
• Exceptional customer service and collaboration skills
• 2-3 years of experience in Learning and Development/Training, Human Resources or Education 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced experience with Adobe design and media development tools such as Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash, Captivate a plus
• Advanced experience with Content Creations Systems and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of multiple and complex meetings
