Manager, Agency Sales
Sprout Social is looking for an Agency Sales Manager with experience in building teams that are responsible for driving new revenue. Our agency customers manage social on behalf of their clients. Sprout Social is a pivotal tool in an agency’s success strategy. Our agency sales team coaches this customer segment to not just see success in social but to entrench Sprout as a partner and tool-of-choice.
You should be able to demonstrate past success in sales leadership. You have consistently achieved quota as both an individual contributor and leader, you are proud of the job you have done hiring and developing salespeople, your background is in SaaS sales environments, and you live and breathe the value of strong customer relationships within a sales process.
Sprout Social is used by over 17,000 brands worldwide including Zendesk, Pepsi, Google, Hyatt, and Evernote. Our customers rely on Sprout to create stronger relationships with their customers through social media.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Account Executives responsible for new business in the agency segment
- Partner with and nurture opportunities with inbound agency prospects alongside your team
- Manage and forecast sales from a high volume inbound trial and lead sales funnel
- Achieve consistent monthly sales quota at both the team and individual rep level
- Provide strategic guidance to team on how to sell Sprout Social as a must-have business tool to prospects
- Train, mentor and coach agency sales reps daily on specific deals, pipeline, sales and product strategy
- Execute at a high level while being very process oriented to measure success daily
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales management role - SaaS sales experience is desirable
- Experience in understanding and selling into the entire agency structure to most strategically acquire new business
- Leverage a single lead to generate a more agency-wide sale
- Consistent track record of exceeding sales and / or retention quotas
- Deep understanding of and ability to develop strong customer relationships with ability to travel to strategic opportunities
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic account plans and applying effective selling strategies and techniques
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills – verbal, written and presentation
- Technical expertise and ability to acquire knowledge of new products
- A passion for customer success and customer happiness
- Demonstrated ability to deal with change and be a team player
