We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly motivated and tenacious individual that is excited about getting involved in an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base.

Summary and Scope:

The Manager, Programmatic is a leader within our Programmatic team which encompasses programmatic and/or direct media planning, execution, optimization, and insights within desktop display/mobile, native, online video and other innovative digital media channels. This role is responsible for overseeing all facets of his/her team, their accounts, and growing team revenue. This includes ensuring the successful execution of engagements that improve our clients' visibility as well as meet their return on investment goals. The Manager, Programmatic is responsible for providing leadership and input into the strategic development of their team's accounts. This includes educating the Account Team on industry trends, tactics, and conveying developments and results. In addition to this, the Manager, Programmatic will be working with their team to develop specific ideas that should be implemented for their clients. Manager, Programmatic will have superior organizational skills and time management skills as s/he will be expected to manage the deliverables and scope all of our existing client work.

Responsibilities:

Client Service Responsibilities:

  • Overseee tactical initiatives for the Client's business; maintain a focus that the deliverables and plans are in line with client's long-term goals.
  • Create presentations and other documents for client use in the evaluation and approval of programmatic and/or direct engagements.
  • Communicate regularly with Account Team on paperwork, status, timeline, budget, deliverables, performance reporting, competitive intelligence analysis and other follow-up items.
  • Work with members of the team to develop recommendations and tactical Internet Marketing plans.
  • Ensures the timely renewal of client programmatic and/or direct engagements to avoid any interruption in client service.
  • Acts as quality control for overall programmatic and/or direct engagement output.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand complex ideas/problems and articulate these and the solutions to clients.
  • Demonstrate a client service focus: Always thinking about how we can better serve our clients and grow their business.
  • Willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to delight the client and deliver excellent service.

Programmatic and/or Direct Media Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of traders
  • Plan programmatic and/or direct media campaign strategy, including but not limited to tactic and budget allocation .
  • Research, plan and place media buys for new campaigns with high quality digital publishers;, negotiate pricing, provide implementation documents and execution details.
  • Stay up-to-date on current industry trends and innovations and be able to advise clients accordingly
  • Research and vet technology vendors to to help further refine our trading desk tech stack
  • Oversee delivery of high quality insights from campaign data, identify relevant trends and provide well developed proactive recommendations to enhance and exceed overall display marketing goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of client goals in order to forecast budgets, create campaign structures and take complete accountability for multiple client accounts.
  • Exhibit clear understanding of overall client messaging and recommend best practices for client banner advertising creative.
  • Relay detailed information across channels to clearly convey status and implementation of campaigns on various Display platforms.
  • Daily analytics of campaign performance across platforms. DSP metrics and analysis as well as DFA trafficking and metrics.
Required Skills:
  • 3-4 years of digital media experience in the programmatic
  • Strategic and creative thinking – always focusing on innovative, but measurable client solutions.
  • Understands media planning concepts such as reach, frequency, frequency management, ROI and latency.
  • Experience with attribution platforms including advanced attribution partners like C3, Conversion Logic and in-app universal SDK partners like Tune, Kochava, and Appsflyer
  • Experience in new business pitches, responding to RFPs, scoping projections
  • Experience in leading teams of 3 or more individuals
  • Experience with Ad Operations, advanced trafficking, and site tagging
  • Experience with dynamic creative optimization partners
  • Experience with working inside of data management platforms
  • Experience with managing Media P&Ls, creating Insertion Orders and reconciling invoices
  • Proven understanding and experience with analytics tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and Tableau
  • Experience drafting direct response oriented media plans and strategies
  • Familiarity with tag management systems and their operation
  • Understanding of different ad tag types and their uses
  • Understanding of different inventory sources and their uses (PMPs, Programmatic Guaranteed, Header, Direct, and Open Exchange)
  • Experience with planning across different mediums including Display, Native, Video, and Audio against various KPIs
  • Experience in the programmatic and direct media buying eco-system - understands roles and relationships between vendors and the like
  • Expert in ad trafficking using DCM/DDM/DFA/DART
  • Expert in campaign setup using DBM, TTD, and other DSPs
  • Strong existing relationships with inventory and technology partners.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Extremely organized, meticulous, ambitious and hardworking.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Results-and detail-oriented.
  • Deeply familiar and passionate about the World Wide Web and online marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity.

  • Able to quickly adapt to new situations.
