Shotfarm is well on its way to solving a $5B retail industry problem by centralizing the exchange of product content (images, videos, descriptions, and specifications) between retailers and manufacturers – think LinkedIn or AngelList.  Since its public release in 2010, company adoption of the platform has topped 6,500 and continues to double each year. We are looking for a B2B marketing genius to further cement our brand in the Retail Marketing Industry and help bring exciting new products to market in 2015!

The Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Marketing on executing a marketing plan that addresses these two major facets of our business:

  1. The Shotfarm community has experienced enormous viral growth thanks to the word of mouth of our members. We need to harness that viral power in brilliant new ways to continue to encourage our members to spread the word for us and grow our membership base. More community members means more potential paying customers.
  2. As Shotfarm launches new Plugins, products and services this year, they need to be marketed to both our members as well as the general retail and manufacturing communities at large. Though all of Shotfarm’s plugins and services build on the value of the free system, they each might appeal to a different target customer and/or require a different marketing strategy as an individual product vs. part of a whole.

Specifically, we’re seeking a Marketing professional with excellent abilities to establish a brand, create awareness and generate excitement for that brand as well as market individual products and services. The ideal candidate will be equally adept at leveraging all marketing channels, including online, offline and social media, into a strategic marketing program.

Our perfect candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be willing to take on the risks and rewards of an exciting, funded internet start up and be overflowing with unique ideas.

Responsibilities
  • Help in the execution of the marketing plan, identifying applicable channels, campaign strategies and high profile media opportunities.
  • Work with Director of Marketing to articulate strategy for growing brand or product awareness.

  • Evaluate and utilize traditional paid advertising and paid search channels where appropriate.
  • Implementation of PR and Social Media marketing plans.
  • Foster a sense of community that encourages greater engagement and investment from its members, and promotes word-of-mouth sharing for amplified impact on the community.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of forward-thinking marketing experience in high-tech industries.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal skills.
  • Must posses a proven track record for successful marketing strategies and implementation.
  • Deep understanding of how to build relationships, communicate and add value to a customer base through blogs, forums, Twitter, Facebook and other social channels.
