As a Content Specialist I, you will write and deliver content and communications to kCura’s customers and prospective customers through emails, websites, blogs, and other channels. The Content Specialist I works under moderate direction of managers and senior team members.

 

Responsibilities

• Write immaculate marketing communications copy in many forms (e-books, case studies, blog posts, email, presentations, web copy, and other branded collateral)
• Create marketing communications plans, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and determine metrics for ensuring effectiveness of plans
• Create and maintain content for our marketing and sales teams to give customers the information they need to make the most of our software and the community that surrounds it
• Adapt inbound-marketing material for personalized, account-focused content to support sales efforts to close deals and drive revenue
• Partner with sales to devise and build account plans, and partner with marketing colleagues to leverage the voice of the customer in our inbound marketing strategy
• Ensure all external content adheres to brand and communications standards and is aligned with kCura’s strategic objectives
• Keep up with industry trends, research similar organizations' content, and make recommendations related to this research as appropriate
• Build and maintain expertise and proficiency with kCura’s products and processes, ensuring that the latest product enhancements are properly represented
• Assist with building kCura’s external communications guidelines and operations manual

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• BA/BS in communication, journalism, English or related field
• 3 years experience in a marketing, communications, or corporate branding role
• Demonstrated ability to gather, synthesize, and analyze information from various sources (such as subject matter experts, stakeholders, and written materials) and apply conclusions to written content
• Experience applying writing skills and editorial judgment in creating helpful and engaging content that is aligned with a delivery strategy and tailored for various audiences
• The ability to receive feedback on one's writing and incorporate this feedback into revisions and future work
• An interest in and willingness to continually develop a knowledge of kCura's suite of products and technologies
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong proofreading capabilities
• Skilled with MS PowerPoint; Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience collaborating across interdisciplinary teams 
• Superb organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment with shifting priorities

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven history of initiative, creativity, and self-motivation 
• Knowledge of inbound and account-based marketing concepts and understanding of the sales lifecycle of a product
• Experience providing marketing support to sales teams through collateral, promotion development, and other various communications
• Demonstrated aptitude with marketing automation and content management software
• Experience establishing and cultivating relationships with internal and external business partners and clients 
• Demonstrated ability to ideate and advocate for visual complements to written communication and ability to collaborate with layout and graphic designers
