 The Swap.com Marketing Team is on the front lines inspiring a wave of conscious consumerism across the US and is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team in downtown Chicago to help conceptualize, develop, organize and produce new marketing strategies and campaigns.

As our Marketing Coordinator, you’ll play a key role as a member of our team managing internal and external marketing efforts. You will lead team-based interaction, project management, administrative support and reporting for our marketing and communications team.  

It’s crucial that you have the ability to work under pressure, demonstrate active listening and organizational skills, and be proactive in bringing up new ideas and potential program or project challenges. This is a demanding and diverse role that includes a mix of administrative tasks, project coordination and creative work.

Needless to say, you’re a team player who is comfortable collaborating across disciplines and cultures while maintaining a determined approach to production and execution.

You should have experience working within a marketing team, ideally with more sustainably focused brands or high-paced agencies and come to the table with actionable ideas that we can put into place to improve our marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Support the marketing team in implementing marketing programs and campaigns, providing project and administrative support
  • Support the development and distribution of marketing, sales, and business materials across departments
  • Preparation of reporting presentations and Excel / Google Sheets spreadsheets as directed by the Vice President of Marketing and CEO
  • Assists in the production of advertising, marketing, sales kits or other promotional materials
  • May write and produce articles for the blog or partner programs
  • Act as the internal liaison and develop report structure to assist in the prioritization of departmental projects as they relate to marketing
  • Coordinate all blog, mailing, social media and public relations updates
  • Assist with the execution and tracking of marketing programs and campaigns
  • Other support and administrative activities as needed for the marketing department

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 -3 years of project management experience within a marketing agency or department
  • Must know and understand features of Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets and project management software such as Basecamp or Asana
  • Unparalleled organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task and manage projects across business units and multiple locations
  • Ability to interpret a business brief and transform its direction into actionable project and resource plans
  • Experience managing outside agencies and vendors
