MARKETING AT INVENTABLES

The marketing team plays a critical role at Inventables. In telling the Inventables story, the marketing team is communicating how accessible and easy 3D carving technology has become. In crafting creative and inspiring messages, the marketing team showcases the impact that Inventables products is having on all of our users from educators and students to small business owners and hobbyists within the maker community. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Given it’s a new team, there’s a huge opportunity (and need) to come in and contribute immediately. You’ll play a big part in helping us shape our growing team from scratch. As our Marketing Designer, you’ll lead the way in transitioning Inventables from a product brand to one that’s lifestyle focused, something we see as carrying limitless creative opportunities given our role in the maker movement.

You will drive creative direction and execution of:

  • Inventables.com, with a focus on optimizing the online shopping experience, the project and forum community features, and evolving the site to more accurately reflect our target audiences.
  • Other digital assets, including designs to evolve our email efforts, support our growing use of Social, and banner or other online ads.
  • Offline concepts, such as direct mail, posters, print ads, video and other collateral, as part of our expanding marketing mix.

Additionally, the marketing designer ensure the consistency of overall execution by building upon and implementing Inventables’ brand design vocabulary.

 

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5 + years of design and marketing experience
  • Experience working within technology or education a plus
  • Early stage experience a plus
  • Candidate must demonstrate past success in a relatively unstructured working environment. Am willing to consider candidates with corporate background, but past start-up/relatively small company experience preferred.
  • College degree required. Formal design education preferred.
  • Must have Illustrator and web design experience. Strong working knowledge of email and social management platforms, video editing, experience with HTML and Java preferred.
