INESQUE will help users keep up with friends and trends with its next-generation social shopping platform. INESQUE connects like-minded people, enabling them to see relevant recommendations from a trusted community and then shop, save and share all on one application. The days of finding something you like on one site, seeking completely random, likely corrupted crowd-sourced comments about the product or service on another site, then looking for a discount promotion code that only works a small percentage of the time on yet another, sharing what you found with friends on still a fourth site, and finally buying it on a fifth site where you get loyalty credit are over. We do it all beautifully and seamlessly from one application. 

We are seeking a self starter who has a passion for fashion, photography, marketing and social media. Primary duties will include posting and curating user generated content on our site. Secondary duties will include blogging, influencer outreach and online community management. Interns will also be involved in strategy sessions, creative sessions, editorial calendar meetings and advertising campaign planning. Intern will also be responsible for reading the blogs of competitors and reporting back our marketing coordinator. Intern will also contribute to our Orientation Manual and required reading list for new hires.

Candidates must have a passion for marketing and fashion, great organizational skills and the ability to understand the overall branding, voice and persona of the site. Great work ethic and problem solving skills are a must. ;

Preferred but not required:; Knowledge of digital media software - Photoshop/Illustrator or other graphic design software, etc. Knowledge of video editing software - iMovie, Final Cut, or Windows Live Movie Maker is a plus.;

MUST HAVES: Interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork, creativity and overall understanding of fashion, beauty and/ or lifestyle blogging, social media and professional content creation.;

DUTIES: This position will help increase our brand awareness, drive internet traffic, and increase the total number of registered monthly active users on our platform. Leverage key social networks to strengthen relationships with existing users and educate them on how to optimize our platform for their own benefit and the benefit of their friends.

This creates an exciting and dynamic work environment. We are also located in the hottest neighborhood in Chicago, River North, which plays host to the best restaurants, bars and nightclubs, so happy hour is never dull. All the companies in the building help each other in various ways, making for impromptu collaboration and learning for all the entrepreneurs, employees and interns.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: Our ideal candidate is someone that has a passion for the fashion industry and trends. This candidate would have some experience fashion blogging or have a general understanding of this industry and would also be familiar with social shopping sites. The ideal skills for this intern would be experience in social media and Photoshop. Knowledge of competitor sites like wanelo, polyvore and shopstyle is a plus.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Ability to learn our application, value proposition, market positioning and persona. Ability to create and upload every kind of content to major social media sites. Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills. Must be creative with an eye for design. Ability to assist in developing a detailed and professional marketing plan. General knowledge of social media with profiles and posts on each of the major social networks. Willingness to create video blogs and write engaging posts daily. Energy, enthusiasm and a desire to come up with fresh ideas on how to grow our online presence.

Ability to identify a target market and "speak" to that consumer through social media. Experience proofreading and editing. Ability to deal with uncertainty and constantly changing priorities of a start-up. Ability to work and contribute individually, as well as participate in cross-functional teams. Solid understanding of the internet and social media marketing best practices. Utilize blogging, SEO, social networking and backlink building to raise our web presence and natural search on the web.
