The Merchandising Strategy and Planning Manager will own the comprehensive Merchandising strategy (email, push, display, affiliates, social, SEO, SEM, Brand, site/mobile assets) for a given business. The Merchandising Strategy and Planning Manager will create a quarterly Merchandising plan and tactics to deliver on business goals, including Merchandising themes and large scale campaigns.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business leader (GM) and Go To Market team to understand business goals and key priorities; Merchandising strategy should reflect these priorities (key partnerships, new products/services)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring the Merchandising strategy to life and ensure it is flawlessly executed; partner with Inventory Management team to secure appropriate inventory to support strategy

  • Utilize a data driven hypothesis to prioritize business specific initiatives (Blogging, large-scale campaigns, loyalty program, referral, frequency, etc)

  • Lead post-mortem for large scale campaigns/events with key stakeholders to document learnings, wins and opportunities.  Provide campaign/event review (including financial results) to leaders and partners.  Utilize these to iterate and innovate for future campaigns

  • Work with Revenue Management to identify business specific opportunities; develop a strategy to improve on these opportunities through Merchandising.  Partner with Operations and Optimization team to define and execute tests (email, Promo, etc) to drive stronger business results

  • Leverage consumer insights and data to effectively target and engage customers

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated track record of driving results through cross-functional teams

  • Financial acumen

  • Strong communication skills

  • Problem solving capabilities
