ABOUT THIS ROLE:
The National Sales Manager will serve in a client facing role, working hand in hand with (and reporting to) East Coast VP of Sales, collaborating closely with our department teams in the US, and playing a critical part in managing client sales growth, satisfaction and ultimately market endorsement of ItemMaster’s OnDemand market solutions.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on, driven, passionate client leader with a client leadership background in e-commerce, scaled media and content delivery solutions for the digital and mobile markets.  Someone who has worked with, and lead client relationships and growth.  We are in search of a smart, driven, experienced leader to accelerate IM’s digital shelf ownership and incredible growth path for the US market and beyond.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about delving into every aspect of the business, seeking to understand the dynamics and business drivers, the market, industry, its competitors, and customers in order to be a thought leader who proactively drives our products and services forward.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve/exceed sales revenue targets for named accounts and assigned market/territory.
  • Develop key relationships in CPG and Retail Markets served by ItemMaster
  • Identify new business opportunities to generate sales. Consult to analyze needs and identify new services or changes to existing services.
  • Manage key accounts and/or key contracts to retain and grow the business.
  • Develop account plans for key named accounts that includes creating and maintaining information such as but not limited to: 1) Organization structure; 2) Key contacts with functions; 3) How and where iM products are used; 4) Overall transactional and account volumes; 5) Business objectives, strategies and issue; 6) Areas of sales opportunity; 7) Plan for driving sales and relationship, and 8) account and calling notes
  •  Communicate and collaborate with IM Regional VP, customers, department/functional stakeholders and managers on shared service offerings
  • Collect and share industry and competitive information to marketing, product and other relevant areas of the company.
  • Represent itemMaster at conferences and trade shows.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of ItemMaster products, business and business direction.
  • Effectively prepare and perform client presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Strong pipeline management skills using ItemMaster’s Salesforce pipeline business system. 
  • Timely and accurate submission of client information/reports, and other mandatory information such as pipeline reporting and travel expenses.
  • Travel required (25-50%).
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BA/BS degree in advertising, communications, business, or an equivalent field
  • 5-10+ years direct and channel selling experience to large enterprises is a must.
  • Forecasting commitments and forecasting accuracy
  • Exceptional management, interpersonal, written and presentation skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment
  • Able to work independently and remotely from other members of your team, and team leaders.
  • Relevant industry experience in any of the following: Packaged Goods, Retail e-Commerce, Digital Advertising Platform Management, Digital Content Management and Delivery.
  • Track record of success and knowledge with prospects and customers in the defined territory
Must be proficient in all office/cloud based software sales and CRM tools including Salesforce, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
