Role Description:

The Network Engineer will participate in implementation and support of data centers across the world. Understanding BGP connectivity to multiple ISPs is required as well as multi-area OSPF for WAN/LAN routing. Our environment depends on layer7 load balancing with SSL
offload so understanding those concepts would be helpful as well.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and optimize transit and tranport routed networks
• Work with service providers to establish Internet and WAN connectivity to remote data centers
• Troubleshoot network failures for existing production data centers
• Update network infrastructure OS on routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls
• Complete service requests submitted by end users for firewall rules and load balancing policies
• Participate in after hour maintenance windows and oncall

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• CCNA Route/Switch Certification required
• 3+ years experience configuring and troubleshooting OSPF and BGP
• 5+ years network engineering experience
• Cisco IOS, Cisco NXOS, Arista EOS, VMware NSXWorking knowledge of route maps and BGP path manipulation
• Packet capture analysis using tcpdump and Wireshark
