Integrating with all electronic health record systems, NowPow produces customized community resource e-prescriptions that extend, complement and complete care plans given to the patient by providers. NowPow generates the personalized e-prescriptions by applying a rigorous matching methodology to our enormous inventory of community services and an individual’s personal health and social conditions. 

We partner with and support MAPSCorps, a large scale youth employment program that serves as our data engine. MAPSCorps employs high school youth to map the assets of underserved neighborhoods. NowPow, a for-profit social enterprise, and MAPSCorps, a 501c3, together make up a self-sustaining collective social impact model. Job Description:

Position Title: New Product Development Associate

Reports to: Cindy Nguyen, head of New Product Development and Business Strategy

Supervises: N/A

Collaborates with: New Product Development department, potential customers and current users, Technology Department, Customer Success Department, Implementation Department, Service Information Department, Analytics Department, various NowPow administrative staff, and select third party vendors.

 

Position Summary:

The New Product Development department sits at the heart of NowPow and manages the company’s entire product line with the vision of delivering elegant, intuitive, and game-changing technology. The New Product Development Associate plays an essential role in the development and continuous improvement of NowPow products. The Associate assists in researching customer needs and competitors, defining business requirements, and launching new product features and functionality. The Associate also assists in developing go-to-market strategies through understanding user needs, researching competitor developments, and defining product positioning and benefits. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Organize and lead focus groups and one on one testing with target users to gather insight on consumer needs and challenges.
• Imagine and bring to life user personas and product use cases.
• Research market competition by comparing the NowPow’s product suite to competitors' functionality.
• Assist in developing business requirements for new development. Convey these business requirements to developers.
• Creatively design UI mockups of new product features and build wireframes to display ideas and logic.
• Contribute to design reviews to deliver elegant, intuitive products.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist with QA (Quality Assurance) to minimize defects and deliver high quality products
• Troubleshoot technical difficulties.
• Assist in articulating product vision, competitive advantages, and product positioning.
• Demonstrate the product to potential customers and other external stakeholders.
• Analyze potential partner relationships for the product.
• Assist on special projects, as needed.

 

Qualifications:

 

• BA required.
• Demonstrates a passion for social entrepreneurship or leveraging technology to address social challenges.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and balance multiple projects within a fast-paced, highly fluid entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to learn quickly and navigate ambiguity.
• Strong detail orientation.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Excellent analytical, organization, and communication skills.
• Beneficial: Experience with UI design, working in partnership with developers, experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
