Overview:

This role will work with the Strategy, Pricing, and Analytics team to drive analysis in support of Operations and Sales.  This role will produce detailed, consistent, insightful analysis for both internal and external client use.  While this role will principally support a single business unit (e.g. Residential, Facilities) on a day-to-day basis, they will also support other initiatives as necessary.

Particularly close and collaborative relationships with Operations and to a lesser extent Sales are critical for the success of this team.

Responsibilities:

Analytics:

• Customize reports and proactively identify trends in data to impact both clients and SMS’ operational efficiencies
• Identify new ways SMS can utilize its existing data to derive insights and suggest modifications / enhancements to add further value
• Assist with ad-hoc and long term special project analysis

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Team focus
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in analytics
• Ability to analyze and translate patterns in data and information into proactive solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers
• Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• High level of proficiency with Excel
• High level of proficiency with PowerPoint

Preferred Skills:

• Master’s degree
• Experience with other business intelligence tools (SQL, Tableau) a plus
• Demonstrated ability to provide instruction, training and guidance to others
• Ability to motivate and lead others
• Comfortable organizing and leading individual and group meetings
• Travel expected: limited
