Why we exist:
There is something magical that happens when you witness a child discover a new joy. They light up, your heart swells, and somehow the world slows down enough for you to be truly present in the moment.
These moments are why we created Pearachute.
Our mission at Pearachute is to inspire children’s curiosity and passion by empowering parents and caregivers through convenience and choice. To us, this means making the best kids’ classes and activities available to you at the touch of a button, allowing you to drop-in and explore during times that fit your schedule with the flexibility to accommodate late naps, stuffy noses, and unplanned visits from grandparents.
But Pearachute is not just about the bond between children and the people who care for them. We are also here to strengthen local businesses, founded by entrepreneurs who took their passions and created opportunities to teach and share with a new generation of young people. By working closely with our partners, we help identify new ways to engage with their neighbors and expand their already successful businesses.
That’s where you come in!
We’re looking for 5 Sales Reps who can source and close partners in our new cities with the goal of increasing exposure, traffic, and revenue for partners and improving the technology that we use to support them.
In this role, you will work alongside our Director of Partnerships. You will serve as the face of the company to current and future partners. From researching the best kids’ activity centers in our new cities, to scheduling calls, pitching, and onboarding our partners, you will be a key member of our team, contributing to the growth of both sides of this two-sided market.
About you:
You have a couple of years of sales or account management experience. You have great communication skills - via email, over the phone and in person. You’re able to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment, and you’re great and identifying better ways to do things. You’re competitive, motivated, confident, ambitious and assertive. You are organized and great at following through with commitments. You’re open to a challenge, resilient and excited to help scale this business.
Ideally, you've sold to local businesses before....maybe at Groupon, GrubHub, Kapow, SpotHero, Raise.
BUT we're also open to ambitious college students who have work experience as waitstaff, bartenders, or in the performing arts.
