What we do…

We build technology that allows businesses to automate and track disorganized processes. Our customers use LogicGate to visually design end-to-end workflows and create configurable process applications. Think of it as an “if this then that” for companies. We are targeting large organizations within the risk and compliance space, although we plan to expand across a variety of verticals as we grow.

What you’ll do…

As a key member of the LogicGate engineering team you will help build the core LogicGate platform. The stack is wide so the specific focus of your time will be driven by your interests and areas of expertise -- we want our engineers to feel passionate about their work. Exciting challenges with confront you daily as you design efficient data-sources, architect a network for scaling and experiment with new technology.

Since the team is small, you’ll help create best practices instead of just following along. You’ll have the freedom to explore new technologies and help make infrastructural product decisions as the application and its client base grows. Our culture is fast-paced and driven by a passionate team, but allows for the flexibility you’d expect with an early stage start-up.

As one of the team’s initial hires you’ll have the option to take equity in an already well-funded Chicago startup. You’ll have a strong voice in a small team of co-founders and engineers. We’re currently located inside the Techstars space in 1871 and our team enjoys all the benefits of 1871 membership.

Who we’re looking for…

We’re looking for someone with a few years of experience guiding teams on SaaS projects with a relatively similar stack to ours. Our ideal candidate is an opinionated leader who loves the challenge of designing something new and is bored with the regurgitation of existing constructs. It’s essential that team members are able to take ideas and run with them, relying on experience, creativity and the power of Google.

The ability to find balance remotely
“Working remotely has given me the opportunity to strengthen how I communicate, to my core team members and to the greater organization,” Mabelitini said. As a manager working remotely with a distributed team, Mabelitini employs group working sessions to simulate the camaraderie of in-office work. With less time spent commuting, they and their team are able to do more of the things that recharge them. “I am a more balanced and fulfilled individual when I sign on for work,” Mabelitini said. “I am able to confidently show up as Sophia — a people leader, a co-creator, a mentor and a friend.”

When Ryan joined LogicGate as a sales development representative in 2019, he was looking for an entrypoint into the SaaS field. He found that — as well as an opportunity to quickly grow his skill set and knowledge base. “I was able to learn a ton about our platform and the industry we serve, which set me up for success once I was promoted in 2021,” Ryan said. Over the following two years, Ryan was promoted two more times, and he credits supportive leadership with paving the way for his professional success: “Our director of sales engineering helped me build a plan to earn a promotion.”
