MarkITx is looking to add a Price Researcher to our Data Science team. We are building something big here and you can be a part of it. MarkITx is the first and only online IT hardware exchange fueled by market intelligence. We match buyers and sellers in real time and help them trade used equipment at fair-market prices.

From building systems that analyze tens of millions of messages per second to managing hundreds of millions of dollars in trading positions to hacking on Teslas and Google Glass--we have a unique set of skills that allow us to understand and tackle the hard problems.

As a Price Researcher at MarkITx, you’ll work alongside this experienced group helping both the data team and our trade desk determine fair prices for the IT equipment listed on the exchange. You’ll be adding value immediately as the data you gather will serve to inform and validate our automated pricing models. This is a contract position.

This project will require you to:

• Gather new pricing data through web research

• Be resourceful about finding reliable data sources

• Maintain focus and accuracy during the processing of multiple lists of items

• Be organized and detail oriented

• Become familiar with the products that we trade

• Be able to devote 30+ hours per week to this job

• Be able to work from our downtown office

• Be available on relatively short notice (i.e. occasional mornings or evenings, if market conditions dictate)
