WHO ARE YOU

You are an energetic engineering people leader with expertise developing Android products in the enterprise, mobile or healthcare space. You’ll work with all aspects of the Android product and platform development, including collaborating with hardware, media content and design engineering teams to build Outcome Health next generation SW platform for our Android devices. You will be responsible for the architecture of our device platforms, determining current limitations and compatibilities between subsystems, the selection of new concepts and methodology, and the development of future upgrade of our platforms.

• Collaborate with our internal and external partners to define the platform functionality
• Prepare technical requirements and platform design specifications
• Instill best practices for software development and documentation, make sure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules

As the champion of solutions, it’s essential that you have the breadth of knowledge to lead development in several domains including Android platform development, Kernel landscape from chipset vendors, Driver optimization for our hardware and OTA platforms. You should have a deep technical understanding of innovative technologies and the willingness to learn new technologies on the go.

You have a passion for contributing to the development of high quality, high-performance teams through rigorous goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement and mentorship. You are obsessed with managing people to their fullest potential and thrive in a culture of innovation.

Experience working with design and development of complex systems at scale while remaining technical enough to dive into architecture, code, test plans, project plans, deployments and operations is a big plus.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience building and managing technology development teams
• Extensive experience in leading the development of Android based platforms
• Experience working on a small, fast moving, highly skilled team
• Proven track record of successful and timely product delivery and of driving technical innovation
• History of setting aggressive yet attainable goals, and motivating teams to achieve them
• A focus on product and technology strategy
