Product Manager
Built In is a network of online communities for technology companies and startups. We connect talent to startups, cover local tech news and host events. Headquartered in Chicago, we currently operate in five markets: Chicago, LA, NYC, Colorado and Austin.

We are looking for a talented Product Manager who is passionate about creating smart, beautiful, and polished products that solve complex problems and generate meaningful business value.
Responsibilities:
You’ll be responsible for end-to-end product strategy, conceptualization, execution, delivery, and measurement. Specifically, you’ll:
- Define short- and long-term product priorities (roadmap)
- Work collaboratively with our Head of Design, other PM, and engineers to define and create amazing product experiences for our clients and users
- Help manage our Agile / Scrum process
- Define, track, and report on key metrics
- Support marketing and sales related to product initiatives you own
- Become familiar enough with our technology stack to work effectively with engineering and to participate in scope estimation exercises
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Become an expert on the competitive landscape in our space
- Conduct product demos and trainings as needed educate others about the products and features we’ve built
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively with others. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 2 - 4 years of experience
- Great judgement, analytical skills, and ability to think strategically
- Excellent communications skills, including the demonstrated ability to communicate well visually and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to define, prioritize, manage, and execute on product initiatives in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working effectively with business stakeholders, designers, and engineers
- Experience supporting sales / marketing teams
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to empathize with users of all types
- Knowledge of best practices around the use of data to learn about and improve products
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Experience with Agile / Scrum

- Experience with a marketplace business, platform business, or data-intensive product
- Experience working with remote teams

- Knowledge of Jira or a similar Agile management tool
