Shiftgig, one of Chicago’s hottest and fastest growing technology companies, is seeking a Product Manager. We are looking for an experienced product pro who is passionate about creating intuitive, beautiful, and polished experiences that solve real world business problems. This position reports to the VP, Product and will be responsible for end-to-end product strategy, conceptualization, execution, delivery, and measurement.

Our apps make it easy for businesses to post gigs and for qualified and skilled workers to claim them. Our platform handles shift fulfillment and all the messy bits associated with labor management.
Role / Responsibilities
As Product Manager, you’ll:
Define short- and long-term product priorities / roadmap
Work collaboratively with designers, other pms, and engineers to define and create amazing product experiences for our clients, workers, and internal teams
Help manage our Agile / Scrum process
Define, track, and report on key metrics
Support marketing and sales related to product initiatives you own
Become familiar enough with our technology stack to work effectively with engineering and to participate in scope estimation exercises
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Become an expert on the competitive landscape in our space
Conduct product demos and trainings as needed to educate others about the products and features we’ve built
Desired Experience / Qualifications
We have a small, tightly knit product and engineering team. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively with others. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
3 - 5 years of product experience
Great judgement, analytical skills, and ability to think strategically
Excellent communications skills, including the demonstrated ability to communicate well visually and in writing
Demonstrated ability to define, prioritize, manage, and execute on product initiatives in a fast-paced environment
Experience working effectively with business stakeholders, designers, and engineers
Experience supporting sales / marketing teams
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to empathize with users of all types
Knowledge of best practices around the use of data to learn about and improve products
Rigorous attention to detail
Experience with Agile / Scrum
Nice to haves
Experience with a marketplace business, platform business, or data-intensive products
Experience working with remote teams
Experience at a high growth company
Knowledge of Jira or a similar Agile management tool
