Product Manager

Livewatch is a profitable, fast growing (100% last year!) company focused on the Internet of Things.  We are disrupting the $24B / year home security industry with our product that homeowners can install themselves and enables them to monitor their home using a mobile app.  We also are less expensive than the legacy competition and do away with the sleazy long-term contracts that have historically been prevalent in our industry.

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our software team.  Your job is to figure out what the customers want, decide which projects will have the biggest impact to the business and work with the development team to get the product built.

What You'll Do:

• Figure out what our customers need - talk to them, run surveys, analyze their behavior and incorporate ideas from competition and analogous industries.

• Use your business judgement to decide prioritization.  

• Communicate what needs to be built to the designers and developers - user stories, wireframes, etc.  

• Manage product development - figure out workarounds when we run into roadblocks, eliminate obstacles for developers, ensure communication is flowing between development and the rest of the business.

Who You Are:

• An experienced product manager with experience shipping successful web or ecommerce products and preferably some mobile experience.

• Technical enough that you can communicate effectively with the developers and make quick guesses about how difficult things are technically.

• Analytical - we are a very metrics oriented culture and that needs to be incorporated into our product development as well.
