Shiftgig, one of Chicago’s hottest and fastest growing technology companies, is seeking a Product Manager in our Chicago office. We are looking for an experienced product pro who is passionate about creating intuitive, beautiful, and polished experiences that solve real world business problems. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end product strategy, conceptualization, execution, delivery, and measurement.

As Product Manager, you’ll:

• Own your roadmap, defining short- and long-term product priorities based on ROI and business / user impact
  
• Create buy-in for your product vision
  
• Develop a deep understanding of your users’ needs to identify and fill product gaps, generate ideas to drive grow market share, improve user experience and generate revenue growth
  
• Identify problems and solution hypotheses; work with your team to prototype and test them
  
• Rally teams to deliver solutions quickly and iterate
  
• Drive launches, working collaboratively with product / engineering / data science, marketing, and sales
  
• Define, impact, and report on key metrics
  
• Support marketing and sales to ensure we have effective promotional messaging that aligns with the product strategy
  
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  
• Become an expert on the competitive landscape in our space
  
• Conduct product demos and trainings as needed to evangelize and educate others about the products and features you’ve built
  

What you'll do:

We have a tightly knit and very collaborative product, engineering, and data science team. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated and able to work both independently and with others. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• 3 - 5 years of product experience
• Track record of successful product lifecycle management
• Great judgement, analytical skills, and ability to think strategically
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to define, prioritize, manage, and execute on product initiatives with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to generate product strategy and effectively advocate for it
• Experience building strong relationships with business stakeholders, designers, and engineers
• Experience supporting sales and marketing teams
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to empathize with users of all types
• Knowledge of best practices around the use of data to learn about and improve products
• Rigorous attention to detail
• Experience with Agile / Scrum
