The ideal candidate will work to understand industry trends and maintain the company’s competitive position as an innovative online payroll processing company.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background with web and SaaS product experience and be a strategic thinker, a curious fact finder and an outstanding communicator.

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

• Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research: interview customers, prospects, partners and employees
• Define the purpose and requirements of projects, prioritizing features and supporting proposed projects with compelling research
• Collaborate with the cross-departmental project team to define business and functional requirements and manage the project from ideation and requirements gathering to launch and regression testing
• Defining short- and long-term product strategy and roadmap
• Communicate promotional and selling strategy to Marketing and Sales teams
• Communicate functional understanding of product features to support Customer Care team and Training Manager
• Providing in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning and present findings to management team in a meaningful and actionable way
• Managing the entire product life cycle from ideation to post launch
• Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
• Analyzing and managing partner/vendor relationships that fit our product and business model
• Stay abreast of the latest regulations affecting the payroll industry
• Demonstrated ability to successfully multitask, prioritize, and manage deliverables to support simultaneous projects

The successful candidate must have product management/product analyst experience with exposure to web and SaaS technologies. This individual must be technology savvy and have excellent communication skills—written and interpersonal—and a track record of successful product launches. This person must also have a passion for usability and for ensuring a quality customer experience. They have a high sense of urgency and are a natural relationship builder and collaborator. In addition, they are eager to learn and stay abreast of the latest developments in technology, payroll and HR services.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in software, web or SaaS product management. A Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA preferred.
