As a Program Manager, Events you will drive the development of innovative event programs that deliver industry-leading experiences that inform, educate, and grow the Relativity community. Working under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment, you will provide professional guidance to team members while driving proactive program management techniques that anticipate a wide variety of project challenges.

 

Responsibilities

• Deliver a flawless event experience for event participants, sponsors, vendor partners, and staff
• Organize programs, including developing RFPs, budgeting, handling contracting and negotiations, site selection, housing for attendees, meeting specifications (e.g., menu planning, logistics, audio visual, space assignments, signage, etc.)
• Ensure that events and content delivery strategies are aligned with kCura’s strategic objectives
• Maintain strong internal and external communications and develop relationships with all event stakeholders, including attendees, kCura staff, sponsors and vendor partners
• Provide on-site support by overseeing all arranged details of each program (e.g., attend pre-con, advance all functions, verify room set-ups, coordinate special events, ground transfers, VIP needs, meeting materials, temporary event staff)
• Work closely with the event production team to negotiate agreements with vendors, outside providers, and subcontractors to ensure lowest cost and highest quality of service for all events
• Supervise design and execution of event surveys and other tools to measure the success of the event programming and logistics; assist the event production team with the development of an evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the event and identify areas of improvement; assist with developing and implementing a long-term event strategy that demonstrates the continued evolution of the event
• Provide assistance for planning logistics and generating appropriate content for staff and event participants
• Work closely with kCura’s marketing communication team to implement approved communication strategies for promoting the event; assist with establishing communication protocols and operating procedures with planning committees, vendors, and program staff
• Keep up with current events trends and technology, make recommendations as appropriate
• Conduct systems analysis and recommend changes in policies and procedures in order to improve operations 
• Manage issues of diverse and ambiguous scope which require evaluation of a variety of factors and current business trends 
• Provide development expertise to team members through education and review 
• Act as team advisor and may become actively involved in meeting project objectives and resolving problems

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of program/event management experience
• Experience coordinating and motivating event staff

• Demonstrated success working on multi-million dollar events with multiple stakeholders; software industry experience a plus
• Experience leading participation in industry tradeshows, from initial concept through to onsite execution; e-discovery industry experience a plus

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong design aesthetic 
• Proven history of initiative, creativity, and self-motivation 
• Superb organizational skills; able to deftly manage multiple projects simultaneously 
• Superior collaboration skills across interdisciplinary teams 
• Expert-level proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment with quickly shifting priorities
