We are looking for a Program Manager to join our Operations team and drive the planning and execution of several critical initiatives.  The Program Manager will play an instrumental role as we develop and launch new experiences for our diners and restaurants utilizing our ordering platforms, our restaurant facing technology and programs, or our internal business operations and technologies.

Operations is an exciting and growing area at GrubHub, and we are looking for disruptive, entrepreneurial individuals to help innovate and bring new experiences to life in this space.

Responsibilities

  • Develop “bottoms-up” program plan across a suite of interconnected projects, designed to deliver key objectives of each project at a high level of quality while hitting an aggressive schedule
  • Plan and drive execution of the major strategic projects of the program, working cross-functionally to manage risks, cost, quality, and rollout over the duration, identifying and resolving concerns or blockers as they arise
  • Ensure that decisions are made in a timely fashion by the appropriate decision-makers and interface directly with key stakeholders to understand, manage, and document dependencies and status
  • Manage ongoing reporting to stakeholders, including written and verbal communication of major project metrics as well as status for each project and for the program as a whole
  • Unearth and gather unmet customer needs through research, data analysis, user experience analysis and testing, competitive research and any other relevant tools
  • Collaborate across a broad organization including technology, marketing, operations, account management, finance, business development and sales

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of program management experience, working independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to lead a group of cross-functional stakeholders to resolve ambiguous situations efficiently and successfully
  • Strong data and analytics skills - SQL experience a big plus
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple simultaneous timelines and deliverables for complex projects
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to complement strong tactical execution skills
  • Sharp, energetic, assertive, results-oriented and able to shift gears when needed in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Expertise in MS Project or equivalent project management software, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint; PMI PMP or equivalent certifications a plus
  • BA required; advanced degree/MBA a plus
