The Project Manager, Business Process Improvement is responsible for identifying and improving the design and execution of continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiencies, reduce waste and increase internal and external partner satisfaction while providing project and change leadership and support. 

The Project Manager, Business Process Improvement:

  • Serves as a consultant to the business, defining, planning, and implementing improvements in business processes, practices and tools.
  • Facilitates working sessions to understand current state and define future state processes.
  • Creates, stores, and communicates process documentation as needed.
  • Drafts training materials and delivers training for changes to process.
  • Serves as project manager for tool/process implementation projects and is responsible for the definition and execution of both the project plan and any associated change management strategy required.
  • Ensures high levels of transparency, communication, and alignment via progress reporting and key decision communications.
  • Manages timelines, deliverables, scope and definition of done for initiatives.
  • Leasd the team through identification, communication, and resolution of risks, barriers and resource gaps.
  • Serves as the PMO Reporting Lead responsible for building and publishing reports used to measure progress against planned initiatives and growth goals.
  • Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Who has experience developing and delivering training.
  • Who is flexible and chooses the right project management approach based on the problem being solved. Cars uses lean-agile approaches, waterfall approaches, and blends.
  • Who loves to communicate and leap from status reports to presentations in a single bound.
  • Who can quickly establish credibility and earn the trust of all team members and senior leadership.
  • Who can handle multiple priorities at once, is self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic and tight deadline environment.
  • Who comfortably and respectfully challenge status quo thinking.

 Experiences required or preferred are:

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience of 5+ years.
  • 2+ years Process Improvement experience
  • 2+ years Program Management experience in a technology, digital, software or other complex environments.
  • Organizational Change Management and process improvement/implementation experience.
  • Experience working with diverse and complex business functions.
  • Consulting experience is preferred
