About the Public Relations Manager Role:
In the PR Manager role, you will create a strong network of industry and media contacts, increase company awareness within targeted markets and develop earned media opportunities including regular speaking engagements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics.
- Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
- Develop and implement strategic PR programs to achieve significant increases in brand awareness.
- Coordinate all public relations activities.
- Curate regular public speaking opportunities at industry events.
- Use social media to engage audiences across traditional and new media.
- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
- Manage media inquiries and interview requests.
- Create content for press releases, white papers, byline articles and keynote presentations.
- Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a monthly basis.
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
- Develop and maintain the company's corporate image and identity, which includes the use of logos and signage.
- Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness.
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of professional experience.
- Proven work experience in a technology, advertising and/or financial services environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail.
- A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to both manage and execute programs.
