The PowerReviews Network is the largest in the industry, reaching 2,500 retailers and more than 700 million in-market shoppers every month, giving retailers and brands the power to reach shoppers wherever they are.

The primary purpose of this role is to create and deliver external communication strategies to build global visibility for PowerReviews. In this role you will develop and support external communications that increase awareness, adoption and loyalty for customers and facilitate recruiting for employees.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop all media and industry analyst plans to drive awareness for the PowerReviews brand and consideration for our offerings; position PowerReviews as an industry thought leader
  • Stay current on analyst publications, sharing key insights internally and externally as appropriate
  • Ensure a consistent and clear message that is in line with the Company’s mission and values throughout relevant communication channels
  • Serve as a key contributor and leader in brand messaging, voice and tone across all mediums
  • Prioritize media, analysts, and influencers
  • Measure, analyze, and optimize results to ensure resources are invested for the most positive impact
  • Ensure quality on every level, from pitches and abstracts to bylines and press releases

Public Relations

Execute both traditional and digital PR activities including, but not limited to, national general interest media, industry publications, social media, special events, awards, and thought leadership.

  • Create and direct the production and approvals of press releases, videos, and other PR tools necessary to communicate corporate and product initiatives
  • Coordinate and manage media interviews with C-level executives and clients
  • Prepare executives for press and analyst interviews by developing message points and briefing documents
  • Generate media interest and secure media briefings on-site at industry trade shows
  • Write op/eds, bylined articles and other external communications that build corporate reputation
  • Build and operationalize a PR program that encompasses all media for measurable impact of placements in tiered publications

Analyst Relations & Influencer Marketing

Develop strong relationships with media and industry analysts as well as industry influencers to gain positive coverage of PowerReviews where it matters most.

  • Coordinate and execute analyst engagement activities, such as inquiries, briefings, strategy advisory days, analyst tours and in-person meetings
  • Track and report notable comments, interactions and coverage from all analyst and influencer activities, presenting monthly updates
  • Develop a tiered strategy to drive favorable commentary, capture insights and build relationships among the most influential media and analysts
  • Work closely with the other members of the marketing, product, and client success teams to develop messaging, plans, materials, communications, and other resources needed to effectively engage analysts and influencers

Social Media

  • Utilize social media to actively engage with analysts, key reporters, publications, and influencers
  • Working with Content Management
    • Share industry news via social media to promote PowerReviews as a thought leader
    • Provide input, guidance, and execution assistance for the overall Social Media program

Requirements & Preferred Skills

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in PR
  • Strong track record of media pitching and placement
  • Experience creating and executing public relations plans across various media
  • Social media is a big plus
  • Analyst relations experience is a big plus
  • Software and/or retail experience is a big plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; excellent proofreading (AP) skills
  • Ability to cultivate new relationships/contacts with media/analysts
  • Ability to be accountable, meet deadlines, multi-task, and work under pressure, while maintaining quality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with media, analysts, customers, senior executives, sales teams and business partners
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment

  • Boundless energy, an endless curiosity, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
