• Accountable for quality of all software releases to production via thorough application and data testing.
• Serve as the voice of the customer in the development process by utilizing Consumer Packaged Goods industry data expertise.
• Understand point of sale data and use it to derive complex calculations.
• Serve as the subject matter expert in testing Manufacturer and Retailer sales measures.
• Understand the business model and design, and execute test cases for Business Intelligence application, and ensure all requirements are met.
• Perform database testing for complex sales measures by querying Big Query database.
• Perform functional validations for Business Intelligence tool and ensure requirements are met.
• Run Hadoop jobs and validate the data using Hive and Big Query.
• Adapt to fast paced technologies and share the expertise with the team.
• Evaluate documentation to ensure adherence to Quality Assurance methodology and standards.
• Ensure smooth integration and/or rollout of IT systems into the operational environment by coordinating closely with the affected functional and technical teams.
• Assist in identification of software quality assurance and testing process improvements in conjunction with other key IT processes.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to identify opportunities to enhance test efficiency and implement Automation processes.
• Execute the quality assurance strategy for the IT organization.
• Assist in establishing policies and tools to enable achievement of quality assurance goals.
• Perform test activities to deliver upon prioritized initiatives to ensure success.
• Continuously assess the quality of work products, data, and the definition, and maintenance of quality standards.
• Coordinate and execute testing associated with IT projects, as well as regression and performance testing programs for strategic solutions.
• Function as a subject matter expert in software Quality Assurance.
• Apply a robust automated test approach for regression and performance testing of key IT systems.
• Ensure smooth integration and rollout of IT systems into the operational environment by coordinating closely with the affected functional and technical teams.
• Telecommuting permitted one day per week subject to manager’s approval.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or the foreign equivalent degree.
• Five years of experience with Quality Assurance Testing in IT with focus on quality and on-time delivery.
• Five years of experience testing Business Intelligence web applications, including experience with Qlikview, Cognos, Business Objects or SSRS.
• Five years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry with demonstrated expertise in analytical data validation.
• Five years of experience testing data analytics and manufacturer performance measurements.
• Four years of experience testing in Unix or Linux environments.
• Four years of experience with database testing, writing and debugging SQL queries.
• Experience with the Agile development process.
