We're looking for a talented and highly motivated area manager to join our team. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead our Reliability area in supporting all aspects of testing and quality for our rapidly growing software platform

  • Develop and implement effective Reliability strategies and processes including testing, issue management lifecycle, and ongoing monitoring of output quality

  • Design and document frameworks and processes to ensure testing and team member efficiency

  • Maintain a high level of organization and follow conventions for team’s documentation and artifacts

  • Communicate effectively with managers, designers and software engineers

  • Gather and organize test cases and issues from internal stakeholders and external partners

  • Define granular testing tasks and schedules for team members to support frequent platform enhancements and improvements

  • Organize and prioritize project workflow and keep team members on track to meet deadlines

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Design, Philosophy, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience

  • You have at least 2-3 years of testing engineering experience, preferably with web and/or mobile applications

  • You have a deep understanding of testing principles, techniques, and strategies

  • You have experience working with testing tools and spreadsheets

  • You have an interest in learning about our platform and how it works across a broad spectrum of use cases

  • You are a strong critical thinker and are able develop efficient processes and organize information

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can communicate the appropriate level of information to your audience

  • You demonstrate leadership and people mentoring skills

  • You enjoy abstract logic problems and are ready to put those skills to use in a real-world environment

  • You are detail-oriented and have experience juggling multiple priorities and overlapping project timelines

  • You understand the software development life cycle and development methodologies such as agile, waterfall and lean

  • You’re comfortable representing NextCapital in communication with outside teams

  • Plus: You have experience implementing and maintaining an automated testing framework

  • Plus: You have some continuous integration experience, creating and managing automated test builds
