Job Description As the Risk Manager, you will oversee the reviewing of transactions and processing of orders. You will also be in contact with customers on a daily basis, providing quality customer service. The Risk Manager will be responsible for leading the team, scheduling, conducting weekly meetings, working with our Risk Auditor to review chargebacks, creating and adjusting rule sets, and implementing new policies to combat fraud. This level of work is considered to be advanced and a successful candidate will posses quantitative and interpersonal skills as well as experience reviewing credit card fraud and identity theft. Applicants who do NOT have experience reviewing online transactions for credit card fraud and identity theft, should not apply. Job Responsibilities: • Analyze and respond to fraud threats; lessen the time to identify emerging threats through the use of analytics and fraud profiling. • Responsible for identifying rule opportunities with an eye toward continuously improving the existing rules set while monitoring performance. • Monitor queued transactions pending manual review for the Risk team to ensure rule performance meets expectations. • Ability to process transactions from queue when needed • Be familiar with risk management metrics and reports that proactively identify emerging fraud and risk threats as well as keep management informed of trends and performance. • Remain current on new technology, emerging fraud & risk trends, external tools, data providers and industry best practices as they relate to fraud prevention and risk mitigation. • Contribute to reports for Senior Management and other key stakeholders. • Contribute to innovative ideas; provide thought leadership to greater Risk Management team. • Provide ongoing analysis and insight into fraud trends targeting Raise customers. Qualifications Education and Experience • 2­-3 years experience in risk management and online fraud prevention and handling CNP transactions • Understanding of common and creative techniques used by fraudsters to exploit financial systems/payment systems and e-commerce processes. • 1-2 years experience managing a team of 5­-10 people • Experience creating and managing risk rule sets and triggers Knowledge & Skills • Ability to multitask and prioritize • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate within and across teams • Demonstrated intermediate level Excel skills. Including the ability to quickly generate pivot tables, charts coupled with business analysis and formulated recommendations based on data. • Demonstrated intermediate level SQL or similar query language experience (recommended) • Strong problem solving skills in all areas of risk management using complex tools and technology systems. • Enthusiastic about working in fast-paced environment with ever-changing demands. • High level of professionalism, energy, passion for fighting fraud, and sense of urgency to make things happen. • Programming experience and/or experience with rules-based risk management solution is preferred but not required.
