Our team is based in Chicago, IL, Washington, DC, Dallas, TX, Los Angeles, and New York. Since launching in December 2009, we have grown from four to over 1,000, and in 2014, we were acquired by Nordstrom. We're actively looking for amazing people to join our team!


 


About the role


In a sales-driven organization, it is our Stylists/Sales Representative that builds a book of business to generate revenue. Our Sales Directors lead teams of Stylists to coach, mentor, and manage their way to success and growth. Each salesperson makes a significant impact in the organization. In the Sales Director role, you are given the autonomy to act like an owner and lead your team with the trust and guidance of our executive leadership team. Your success is based on your team’s sales performance and your ability to recruit new sales people to your team.


What you’d work on:



  • Manage a team of commission-based Stylists and Sales Managers by providing them with monthly goals, performance objectives, and general coaching and mentorship

  • Proactively recruit Sales Representatives to build your team and generate a pipeline of candidates through prospecting, attending networking events, and gaining referrals

  • Maintain metrics through reporting tools in order to deliver constructive, goal-driven feedback

  • Adapt to constant changes in a rapidly growing company by holding yourself accountable to changes across our men’s, custom, women's, in-house, and online businesses

  • Contribute to business decisions as they relate to our sales force and company growth

  • Develop Stylists and Sales Managers into strong salespeople and leaders in the organization Proven ability to first generate sales and build a book of business at Trunk Club


What your background might look like:



  • 6-10 years direct sales experience

  • Proven track record as a top salesperson who can generate a book of business through self-sourced referrals

  • 3-6 years sales management experience

  • Proficiency in tracking individual and team sales tracking metrics through various systems, Tableau experience a plus

  • Appreciation for apparel, a good sense of style, and the ability to delight a customer and build long-lasting relationships

  • Entrepreneurial, start-up mentality; you are willing to get your hands dirty to make an impact
