As Sales Engineer you’ll work with eshots’ sales executives and account management team to help develop and close new sales opportunities.  You’ll determine how to apply technology to address Fortune 500 customer needs.  You will listen to the business challenges and technology requests of clients, ideate potential solutions with internal teams, and assist the sales team in presenting solutions in client meetings.  It is critical that you have a sales-driven personality and good communications skills, and are comfortable presenting in front of senior business leaders.  You will be the sales team’s first call for any technology related questions about products.  You will play a key role in proposing and evaluating custom sales opportunities and working with the product and strategy team on the future product roadmap.

In this role, you will:

  • Support new business development working as the in-house eshots technology expert for sales
  • Support the sales team to assist in closing sales
  • Build presentations and proof of concepts to better illustrate capabilities to enterprise customers.
  • Demonstrate product capabilities to potential customers.
  • Document new customer requests using customer journey diagrams, use cases and scenarios.
  • Work with the Product Strategy and Development group and the Production group to ensure customer requests can be handled within the scope of products and capability
  • Manage the technical analysis  portion of RFP responses
  • Travel up to 50% of the time to meet with customers across the country

 

You should have:

  • Excellent understanding of web and mobile app technology and ability to easily translate between business and technical language.
  • A client-service orientation and good strategic business acume
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral, written, and presentation).
  • An ability and desire to “Roll up your sleeves” and get the job done.
  • Comfort level handling multiple projects, balancing priorities and working against deadlines.
  • Experience with a entrepreneurial, high-growth company
  • Bachelor degree in computer science or a related technical field
  • At least four years of experience in product management, sales engineering or product development.
  • Passion for creating outstanding online experiences
