As a Salesforce Developer, you are accountable for ensuring that we’re utilizing Salesforce in the most effective way possible and want to own the solutions end to end – from setup and workflow, to user experience, to integrating service and extending with custom development. The Salesforce Developer role is a highly business savvy and technical role that will work with other members of the Salesforce team, business service managers, and the lines of business(es).  The Salesforce Developer works under general direction of manager and senior team members.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with scrum masters, product owners, and the team to actively participate in grooming and sprint planning sessions
  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain business workflows enabled in Salesforce through declarative configuration, extensions through customizations, and integrations with other business systems
  • Investigate, recommend and implement tools and processes that will help the team be more efficient with: source code integration, sandbox management, automated functional testing and other related areas
  • Keep up with industry trends in general software development/innovation, applications and tools used by the Apps team, as well as the specifics as they relate to the individual intricacies for each product.
  • Keep close partnership with Admins and other team members by adequately transferring knowledge and collaborating
  • May be required to handle technical support calls, as needed, during the year to support customizations, custom code and applications
  • Maintain currency with Salesforce development best practices and knowledge by researching and maintaining certification(s)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years experience implementing Salesforce
  • Proficient working with Salesforce declarative configuration
  • Proficient working with Apex and Visualforce 
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with relational database languages (SQL/SOQL)
  • Experience with REST web services
  • Proficient with Salesforce.com data loader
  • Experience working with agile methodology 
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts with a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented and service-driven environment
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar technical field of study or equivalent work experienc

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer support driven mindset with strong relationship building skills
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Certified Administrator certifications, or their current equivalents
  • Experience with source control and continuous integration 
  • Experience with ETL tools, such as Workato, MuleSoft, Jitterbit, or Informatica Cloud is a plus
  • Experience with marketing automation systems, such as Marketo or Pardot is a plus
  • Experience with sales efficiency and enablement tools, such as Steelbrick CPQ is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce Communities is a plus
  • Experience with Lightning implementations and/or building Lightning components is a plus
