What You'll Do:
We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven undergraduate intern to join Uptake’s security team for the summer of 2017. This position will provide the intern a unique perspective of building a bad-ass security team with a wide variety of security components including risk and compliance, architectural security, threat exposure management, hacking and hunting, physical security, and more. There will be opportunities to work on one or more of the following projects: security tool development, risk and compliance policy reviews and updates, log monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring security tools including virus and vulnerability scanners
- Reporting issues to technical teams for resolution
- Documenting remediation activities
- Assisting with compliance and audit activities
Qualifications:
- Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- Highly motivated, naturally curious, and organized
- Thorough and detail-oriented
- Articulate and clear in communicating process and decisions
- Passionate about Information Security and Data Security
