The SOC manager will work with the service desk and SOC analysts to ensure MSSP customers are being monitored, their incidents triaged and maintain the security operation center.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess current service offerings, identify gaps in operational efficiency and effectiveness, then develop remediation plan
- Maintain Security Operations Center staffing model, operational model, and metric / tracking / measurement model based on pre-defined framework
- Maintain Security Operations Center revenue and budget framework
- Maintain continuous improvement program to improve effectiveness of operations, reduce overall risk to 5th Column clients
- Maintain expertise on security trends through training, research, and development in order to identify and mitigate potential security exposures and risks
Required Skills:
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience in incident response management
- Experience working with a SOC/NOC
- Hands-on experience with security and access technologies
- Experienced use of security monitoring tools (e.g. SIEM, DLP, Internet filtering/blocking, IDS/IPS, firewalls, Anti-Virus, encryption technologies).
- 2+ years experience managing NOC/SOC analysts
