What You'll Do:
The Security Researcher is responsible for working within our security product team and directly with Product Management, Engineering and Data Science teams to build intelligence into Uptake’s security product offerings. You will be exploring a wide variety of technologies that spans both Operational Technology, Industrial Systems, and Information Technology. At times, you will be one first people to look at certain pieces of technology through a security lens and will be uncovering previously unknown vulnerabilities. You will also be learning and teaching our teams how to extract data from various technology stacks for analysis within the Uptake platform.
Some of the things you may find yourself doing:
- Participate in focused security research and evidence gathering activities against common and uncommon industrial assets
- Build prototype tools to extracting meaningful data from industrial components and systems
- Research and prototype integrations with technology partners
- Tell and demonstrate clear and easy to understand stories based upon activity results to drive a continuous education process internally
- Travel into the field to test and perform research against assets in their native habitat
Qualifications:
- At least 2-5 years of experience in all things hacking, reverse engineering, responding to incidents.
- Deep knowledge of practices and methods of IT strategy, enterprise architecture and security architecture
- Ability to work in a fast paced collaborative environment
- Think through complex problem and develop creative solutions
Nice to Have’s:
- OT security experience / expertise
- Active member of the information security community.
